We are delighted to announce that we will be offering teacher-led stay and play sessions on Thursday mornings at St Martin’s Church Hall in Knowle. Run by our qualified lead teacher – Laura – our classes will be suitable from birth to two and a half.
Have you ever wondered why nursery rhymes are so good for your toddler? Or what all the fuss is about ‘baby sensory’? Do you wish your baby could just tell you what they want? In these classes, Laura will tell you the “why” behind the play you do naturally as your baby’s caregiver, give you an opportunity to learn new seasonal rhymes and songs, and teach you simple signs that will help your baby to communicate with you. These sessions will provide you with an ideal bonding opportunity, a chance to meet other parents in the community, and a repertoire of traditional, modern and seasonal songs for you and you little one to enjoy together.
10:00 – 10:45 – Baby Sensory, Singing and Signing will be suitable for younger babies, up to around 18 months old. We will be learning basic, practical signs to use with your baby, learning songs that will help your routine, all through fun songs and rhymes using props and toys along with discussing child brain development. Each session will have time built in to talk to the other parents at the session, as well as free-play elements for your baby to socialise.
11:00 – 11:45 – Singing, Signing and Storytelling will be suitable for older babies up to around the age of three. In this session we will learn everyday signs through songs and rhymes, and tell simple stories with props and interactivity. As with the younger class, there will be time for free-play, time for parents to socialise, and time to discuss how to support your child’s brain development.
Term dates and cost are detailed on the Google Form below.
Please complete the Google Form to register your child, and further information on how to pay for your child’s place will be emailed to you.
